1) What services does Surge Publishing offer?

2) Do you work with authors outside Jamaica?
Yes. We work remotely with authors across the Caribbean and worldwide.
3) Can you publish my book on Amazon (KDP)?
Yes. We handle KDP setup, metadata, categories, keywords, pricing guidance, and file uploads.
4) Who owns the rights to my book?
You do. We provide services; all copyrights and royalties remain with you.
5) Do I need an ISBN?
KDP can assign a free ISBN for print. If you prefer your own, we’ll guide you on purchasing and assigning it.
6) How long does the publishing process take?
Typical projects: 4–10 weeks depending on manuscript length, editing depth, design, and author review time.
7) What genres do you work with?
Most nonfiction and fiction genres. For highly technical or niche topics, we’ll review a sample first.
8) Do you guarantee sales or rankings?
No one can guarantee sales or bestseller status. We provide proven best practices to improve visibility and conversions.
9) What’s included in editing vs. proofreading?
Editing improves structure, clarity, and style; proofreading is the final typo and formatting check before publication.
10) Can you design my cover?
Yes. We create custom covers sized to your printer or KDP specs, with print and eBook deliverables.
11) Do you offer audiobook production?
Yes. We manage narration, editing, mastering, and distribution setup to major platforms.
12) How do payments work?
Most projects use a deposit to start and milestone payments thereafter. We’ll provide a written scope and timeline.
